Blessed Sunday my lovely people. Get your popcorn ready, it's time for a movie!! Woodlawn is an amazing film, with an amazing story, a testimony to God’s own handiwork. It is a story that glorifies God too much to be forgotten. Football may be the theme of the film, but the hand of God is what gives it life. This is one of the most powerful Christian films of 2015, and it is based on a true story, something God really did. This is not just a Christian movie in title. Christ is the center of the film. The name of Jesus is proclaimed throughout. Scenes of a Billy Graham crusade are played as well. There is prayer, preaching, forgiveness, and persecution. And nothing feels forced, fake, or contrived. It’s real, and part of the reason it feels so authentic is because it happened. The film is based on Woodlawn the book written by Todd Gerelds, the son of the head coach, who watched the whole story unfold first hand. Everyone needs to see this film, whether you are a football fan or not. It will strengthen your faith, it will put courage into you, and it will give you hope to see the impossible come to pass in your life. Watch movie below...

Prayer is so special in our lives. It can never be overemphasized. Jesus said '...men ought always to pray, and not faint'. Luke 18:1 People or Christians who don't pray have very little impact of the Word of God in their lives in a continual way. But if you want to see remarkable impact in your life, then prayer is the beginning . What is prayer? Prayer is really more of a fellowship than it is a request. It is a communion with the Father in the Name of Jesus and by the power of the Holy Spirit. The different positions you assume when you pray are important. So let's take a look at the different prayer positions.. * Lying on your bed to pray is one of the positions of prayer: When you lie on your bed to pray, it’s meditative. You’re likely going to start out praying in tongues, because there’s a lot that can come through your spirit, such as worship; you find that you’re worshiping and praising the Lord upon your bed, like the Bible says, “Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds” (Psalm 149:5). You can really be stirred on your bed as you pray like that, with the anointing welling up and overwhelming you. Before long, you might soon bounce off the bed and start pacing the floor. *Then, there’s kneeling down to pray: When you want to pray on your knees, it’s important that you’re specific and clear as to the things you want to pray about. In Ephesians 3:14-15, Paul said, “For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ...” ; and he clearly enumerated the things he wanted to pray about. *Finally, there’s the standing position: Jesus said, “And when ye stand praying, forgive...” (Mark 11:25); why? It’s because when you stand to pray, it’s often a prayer of faith that proceeds from your mouth; you start making decrees! However, the Master was quick to caution that you don’t harbor unforgiveness against anyone; you must walk in love, so your prayer will be effective. He wants your prayer life to be effective. In studying the Word, you’ll learn more on positions of prayer. God wants us to continue in prayer. As long as there’s one sinner in the world, we must keep praying. As long as the rapture of the Church hasn’t taken place, we’ve got to pray. Prayer is a heavenly ministry; it’s part of our priestly ministry as believers; always take it seriously. Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving (Colossians 4:2). God bless you as you read. ❤️xoxo Diana❤️
Members of Christ Apostolic Church at Abule-Ijesha in Yaba local government, Lagos state Nigeria on Sunday July 24,2016, threw their pastor, Micheal Oni, out of the church during the service. The normal program had started with rendering of different worship songs by all in attendance, until an unnamed man mounted the podium to disrupt the day’s activities. This unholy act ended in a brawl over disagreements on the disbursement of church funds and the pastor's monthly salary. A church member, Badejo Adelu accused the pastor of instigating the members against themselves and also taking away money belonging to the church without approval. "He has been giving the church problem, causing chaos in the church and fighting members, insulting and raising bad covenant between members", he told TVC A member of the church who displayed the transfer letter of the pastor, Olusegun Omotajo gave the account of the real cause of brawl and disagreement in the church. He said the pastor was transferred to their church from leadership of the church in Ibadan, Oyo State. He said the letter showed that the pastor was a level 7 step one officer but the pastor insisted on receiving the salary of a level 9 step nine officer. He said the church who wanted peace further decided to pay the pastor as a level 8 step one officer and then paid his January to March salary in May, but this the said pastor did not still agree with them. In his defense, the accused, Pastor Micheal Oni said all he demanded was the involvement of his attention in the church’s account running. He said even though they failed to show him account activities of the church prior to his arrival, but they are yet to show him the account since he took over the pastoral duties in the church. "I asked them that I want to see the account of the church which they failed to render. I told them they should not spend any money without approval by me, they refused", he explained. He said he had ordered them to stop all spending involving the church till issues are been taken care of from the leadership of the church in Ibadan, Oyo State. Watch video below...
Francis Taiwo, a Celestial Church of Christ pastor who starved and kept his nine-year-old son in chains for months, has been arrested. The 40-year-old pastor was apprehended by the police from the Onipanu division on Sunday at his church – CCC, Key of Joy Parish – in Ajibawo, Atan, in the Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State. Korede was, however, rescued on Friday during a joint operation by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and the police, after receiving a tip-off from residents of the area. Korede’s stepmother, Kehinde, had also been arrested for allegedly aiding the cruelty meted out to the boy. Korede, who said he aspired to be a doctor, had blamed his father for his stealing habit. “It is true that I stole a pot of soup and a bowl of eba in our house. I also stole in the neighbourhood. My father’s inability to give money to my stepmother for the upkeep of the family caused it. When I was chained, my father and stepmother fed me twice a day. Some days, I was not given any food. I want to go back to school because I want to be a doctor in the future. I do not want to go back to my father’s house,” Korede had said. Francis, a father of five who hails from Benin Republic, confessed to the act in his statement to the police, adding that Korede’s mother was late. He said, “I was ordained a pastor in the CCC in 2012. I had divorced two wives, including Korede’s mother, Maria; she is late now. She had four children for me – two boys and two girls – before she divorced me in 2007 after she gave birth to Korede. I chained Korede because he is possessed. An evil spirit makes him to steal. He needs deliverance. His siblings are not living with me.” A resident, who identified himself only as Elijah, said Francis had been warned on several occasions against unleashing violence on the victim. He said, “His father has been chaining him for the past six months. He would chain him for hours and release him. His grouse is that Korede steals and runs away from home and he thinks a spirit is controlling the child. He once took him to a river in chains for deliverance.” The Ogun State police spokesperson, SP Muyiwa Adejobi, said the case had been transferred to the child labour unit of the command for investigation. “The case has been transferred to the Anti-Human Trafficking and Child Labour Unit of the command for necessary investigation and actions as directed by the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of zone 2, AIG Abdulmajid Ali,” he said.
Everyone wants to be happy. Isn’t that the greatest goal in life? But sometimes trying to find happiness can be a struggle. Often times we search for it in all the wrong places or ways, when the answer is much simpler- God. "Happy are the people whose God is the Lord" Psalm 144:15. The Bible guides us to happiness through God's Word! What is happiness? Happiness is a mental or emotional state of well-being defined by positive or pleasant emotions ranging from contentment to intense joy. Happy mental states may also reflect judgement by a person about their overall well-being. So let's take a deeper look at what the Bible say about happiness: True happiness is a gift from God. * Psalm 4:7 Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their wine increased. * Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith. * Ecclesiastes 2:26a For God giveth to a man that is good in His sight wisdom, and knowledge, and joy. * Ecclesiastes 8:15 Then I commended mirth, because a man hath no better thing under the sun, than to eat, and to drink, and to be merry: for that shall abide with him of his labour the days of his life, which God giveth him under the sun. * Romans 15:13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. With all that said, as a child of God you have the right to be happy. Below is a video by Bishop TD Jakes - 'Own your own happiness"
